HAWT! hehe
Alright I've grown up in the bubble gummish pop era so despite having moved to more meaningful music as well as rock and stuff I still succumb to some POP stuff.......
The song's pretty kewl, I love the lyrics!
Just love the chorus makes me dance
Now we're talkin about awesome headbanging and hellishly amazing guitars in the song Superbeast
A classic! just love it though I first heard it's Indian Remix by the band Stereo Nation they did a nice bhangra touch to it with all those Punjabi lyrics whoooooo!
Loved everything about the movie except for when the scientist goes "it's too late we can't do anything about it" bullshit! he was the one that got them into that crap!
Guess Who somewhat reminded me of Meet the Parents and Meet the Fockers but had a different tone. I really liked how they highlighted the notion of inter-racial marriages and the problems of acceptance they STILL face in the society! overall a pretty humorous movie but I would give it a 6 because of its similarity with the aforementioned movies.
Chronicles of Narnia was one good movie, I remember reading just an excerpt during an english lesson back at school. Exactly remembered the part where Lucy opens the wardrobe and the mothballs come out and how she meets the fawn. Previously I never liked movies with such a historic setup, you know with kings and queens and battles but somehow I've started liking them. Part of the credit goes to Harry Potter because I could identify the mythical creatures, hippogriffs for example keke
Austin Powers totally mocks at the James Bond and the 60s and the 70s and I really think it does a great job. I really thought Sean Connery sucked big time exposing that hellish chest hair YUCK! the total lack of responsibility in the 60s/70s was clearly highlighted and I think the word Shagadelic is gonna be on my tongue for a while keke
Phir Hera Pheri is a sequel to Hera Pheri and really out performed the previous one. I really think putting the harsh realities of life with a humorous tone is a great idea. I really can't find the energy to write up the whole review...
yeah recently i've become more of a movie buff than a blog-a-holic but that's coz i recently bought a DVD-rom yeah i know i should've done it ages ago but hey! i'm tech savvy AND clever so i let the prices go real low
besides by Dad's VCD collection's so huge that if i'd really gotten down to watching them i wouldn't have needed a DVD-rom for another year or so =0)
but since I really don't like much action or freaky war movies like Bridge too far and the likes I really needed to venture off on my own!
OK lets get down to the reviews.
Saw Cars last night and I must say I thought it must be the usual movie you know a winner with a bad attitude then realizes his faults and then wins! yay! blah blah blah blah! with the usual Hollywood ending and all! Nah this movie's based on TRUE values and not just a cinematic happy ending we've all grown used to watching. I think Louigi one o' the Spanish cars who runs a tyre shop is this dude from a reality show i can't remember, this old badly tanned lady[who i think also voiced one o' the characters in the movie] with freaky kids and her life........ anyways i think it's a must see!
OK then comes another animated movie, ummmmm I wouldn't say I liked it as much as cars but ummm lets say it was between being ok and GREAT lolz loved the graphics especially the fat kid was so real! reminded me of myself when i was a kid. The cops were hilarious extremely HILARIOUS! though i was expecting to see them in the end but they only showed the freaky rocker dude..... This movie had the usual fairytale ending and all..... a kiddie movie while CARS was AWESOME! which reminds me of another old movie based on real life events in Jamaica (saw it AGES AGO) but it's still my favorite movie. It's not often that you find a true story that is HILARIOUS
After all these months I've been reading the Harry Potter series, I finally saw the four movies. Yeah being an avid reader with a long term memory (thank Allah) I was a little disappointed because they fooled around with the scenes a whole lot. In part 3 Harry receives the Firebolt during the term and not at the end of term. Sirius was supposed to be HANDSOME and not some curly haired freak! lolz
I had pictured Mr and Mrs Weasely, Ginny, Fred and George differently but I have no idea why =0)
Yeah Gilderoy Lockhart was also supposed to be goodlooking and not just some dude with freaky hair...... Despite the minor disappointments I really loved the movies and just might buy them (you didn't think I owned all those DVDs did you? well then you didn't read the opening paragraph of this entry LOLZ gotcha! OK i'll tell you, I rented them)
Well if you're still reading this, congrats on reading through the entire text I really didn't expect anyone to read through a terribly long entry overloaded with movies..... Have fun!
Yeah recently i've been listening to and watching a whole lotta interesting stuff really loved Madagascar and Dragula is just one hell of a song to head bang at =0)
Evelyn is just one highly emotional movie and it's a must-see!
Though I really would've preferred someone like George Clooney or Brad Pitt to play the role of Doyle because I feel that somehow they were more suitable for the role of a totally broke painter/artist......
You know Pierce Brosnan somehow looks just TOO refined to play such a role. The kids are adorable and the movie is priceless!
Aint in a mood to write up a full review because I've got this massive statistics assignment to do.
Anyways, I've done an entry =0)

What movie can you quote by heart?
Submitted by clamhead.
I've never been a movie buff
and I happen to have this knack for watching a couple o' movies over and over againMost of our winter holidays were spent watching The Three Stooges for obvious reasons- there wasn't much to do in the winters besides sit infront of the tube all day!
I still remember the time Dad took us to the video store a few weeks before the final term and showed me and my bro this tower of the Laurel and Hardy collection and said wait till the vacations start. So the vacations started and we'd watch the movies from dawn till dusk = )
Of course my parents were clever enough to BUY stuff themselves with all that crap they had in the movies back in the 90s it was only until Pulse Global arrived with their ratings on the cover of the videos that me and my bro could rent stuff ourselves hehe
Anyways, then came the teenages and TOP GUN was surely a must see. Dad and I would watch the first cd every night before going to bed really loved the part "You two are going to Miramar"
"Yeeeehawww Great Balls o' Fire"
"Yes ICEMAN I am dangerous" with the biting action hehe
Rush Hour again was a favorite for the three of us while Mom really hated the idea of keeping the TV busy with one movie every night hehe but she'd do anything to get us all just sit together.
Just loved the part where Chris Tucker goes "Nian Chan some greasy SHIt why don't you go and sell a big box o' grease?"
"Do you understand the words that are commin outta my mouth?"
"Juntao is my half brother he and I are from the same MaMA, I'm BLACKENESE"
Six Days and Seven Nights of course belongs to a different genre but it was fun too.
